There are many people to thank for making the experience unforgettable. Foremost is the mentorship of many Chaing Mai University faculty, and the people in their labs that made the SMRT research experience a reality. The loudest shout-out goes to those CMU students that not only contributed to our scholars' research projects, but also took them under their wings to show the REAL culture of Thailand. Many of the cultural posts in this Blog would not have happened without the generosity and friendship of these students. We also wish to thank the folks at Uniserv and Kantary Hills Hotel for making our stays pleasant and comfortable. But top of the list, and #1 in our hearts is Mr. Narong, our selfless van driver for all 45 days of our stay in Chiang Mai. Let's hope he got a day off when we left. Lastly, we wish to thank, with a huge THANKS, the CSUF-IRA program for funding SMRT 2014. Talk about money well spent! And I'm sure all the SMRTies will remember this generosity when the Alumni fund-raising campaigns start calling :-)
I wish to thank the SMRTies themselves for all their hard work, great spirit, and truly vested participation in the SMRT 2014 course. Although the program is for you, you are actually the ones who make it great. Thanks for an outstanding SMRT 2014 experience. If you ever get homesick for Thailand, the blog will be here for you to read (or come by and we'll get lunch at Thai Basil).
